1st Ice Cream of the Season

The weather has warmed up (80 degrees the last three days), the trees are blooming, and more importantly all of the seasonal ice cream stands have opened up. Yay! We went to Sundaes to get our first bit of ice cream for the season, and it was good!

Xander got his usual - a baby chocolate cone (the cherry was something new). He also gets a cup, because after a few licks he dumps the ice cream in there and eats the cone.

I got my usual - a small cup of chocolate ice cream with hot fudge sauce. I never had much use for cones, even the sugar cones. (And don't look at how gray my hair is!)

Joe got a milkshake. He normally gets peanut butter-chocolate, but this time he tried the creamsicle, which was pretty good. When the girl at the counter asked him what size, Xander said "Big! Cause he's a big guy."

One more reason to love the warm weather!

Ben & Jerry's S'mores Ice Cream

I haven't been a really big fan of Ben & Jerry's ice cream for a while now, but when I stopped at the grocery store last night they were on sale so I thought, what the heck? I tried the S'mores flavor - it has graham crackers, gooey marshmallow, fudge bits, and chocolate ice cream. My report?

YUMMERS!!

It was seriously hard for me not to eat the whole pint in one sitting. Pretty sure it'll get polished off today, especially if Xander decides he still likes it.

Haagen Daaz Chocolate is still my all-time fave ice cream, but I'm glad I gave B&J another try!
